Reduce your costs and lead times with CTA's automated, customized inspection solutions for composite and metallic materials.

Non-destructive testing

Customized, automated inspection solutions

We develop non-destructive testing solutions dedicated to your application, from the design of the inspection method to the inspection procedure and the automation of data analysis. CTA offers practical tools for faster, more efficient and more reliable inspections and analysis of results, improving inspection reliability while reducing lead times and associated costs.

Our expertise

+

Our multidisciplinary team of researchers and specialists integrates tailor-made non-destructive testing solutions, from the definition of requirements to the deployment of a production prototype and the drafting of inspection procedures. Our experts master the entire measurement chain, whether ultrasonic or thermographic, and deliver tested, reliable and transferable tools that increase the productivity, reliability and reproducibility of inspections in industrial production or service contexts.

Our specialized services

+

Development of customized non-destructive testing solutions
Design of customized ultrasonic probes (CIVA simulations) and probe holders adapted to real-life industrial constraints.

Prototyping and technological validation
Development of functional prototypes of inspection systems, testing in laboratory and industrial environments, drafting of procedures.

Inspection of composite parts in R and D contexts
Robotic inspection of prototype or reference parts with complex geometries using software tools developed in-house: automatic path generation, correction of misalignments and deformations, and automated analysis of ultrasound data.

Generation of porosity curves
Correlation between ultrasonic attenuation and measured porosity for different types of composite materials: manufacture of reference panels with controlled porosity, measurement of ultrasonic attenuation, characterization of porosity by microtomography (µCT), and generation of curves. Attenuation = f(% porosity) with confidence intervals.

Modeling and automating data analysis
Development of algorithms for automatic analysis of ultrasound and echography data: automatic segmentation of parts, detection and characterization of defects, generation of analysis reports.
